The Far West

Day 1: Arrival at Salt Lake City. Pick up the rental car. Check in at the hotel. Night.
Day 2: Discover the city and the Salt Lake, the most renowned natural landmark in the region, with its deep, turquoise waters surrounded by sparkling white sand beaches. Night.
Day 3: Depart to the Bridger-Teton National Forest. Enter Idaho and travel the original trail of the Oregon Trail. Visit the National Oregon Trail Center and visit the seaside resort of Lava Hot Springs. Check-in at the hotel in Idaho Falls. Night.
Day 4: This morning, enter Grand Teton National Park. Watch the Teton Mountain range with peaks over 12,000 feet. If weather and river conditions allow, a boat awaits you on the majestic Snake River to discover the flora and fauna through the park. Continuation to Jackson. Free time to explore the charming city center. Night.
Day 5: Depart to explore Yellowstone Park today on the lower loop. Visit Norris Geyser Basin and stop at the Fishing Bridge Visitor Center along Yellowstone Lake. Visit the Yellowstone Grand Canyon, where you can admire the scorching waters of Yellowstone Falls, twice as high as Niagara Falls. Return to the hotel mid-afternoon for leisure to enjoy your lodge and geysers nearby.
Day 6: This morning, travel along the Yellowstone River. Cross Paradise Valley then Mammoth Hot Springs. Night.
Day 7: You will travel today through the vast mountains of Bighorn, where cowboys still surround their herds of sheep and cattle as in the days of the Old West. In the historic center of Buffalo Bill, you’ll meet some of these historic characters, including Bill himself, the famous hitter Annie Oakley and the Indian leader Sitting Bull before arriving at Cody If the calendar allows it you will be able to see a rodeo.
Day 8: Enter the region of Wyoming lands and oil fields. Visit the old town of Sheridan. Enjoy lunch. Then enter Montana, “Big Sky Country.” Short visit to the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument in the Crow. Continuation to Billings. Night.
Day 9: This morning, join a member of the Dakota Native American tribe for a visit to Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Later, visit Wounded Knee, which is the site of a massacre that took place in 1890 when the US Army attacked a gang of members of the Lakota tribe. Night in Rapid City.
Day 10: Learn more about Black Hills Gold through Riddle Black Hills Gold and Diamond Factory. Here you will see skilled craftsmen from South Dakota working jewelry. Then, travel 14 miles of beautiful rock formations on the fascinating Needles Road. Return to Rapid City. Night.
Day 11: Depart to Mount Rushmore, the largest sculpture in the world. Arrival at Mount Rushmore, whose epic carved stone figures represent the first 150 years of American history. Visit the Crazy Horse Memorial. Return to Rapid City. Night.
Day 12: Departure to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Discover this typical western city, visit the Wyoming state museum and the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum. . Night.
Day 13:Depart to the Rocky National Park With majestic mountains, wild tundra flowers, abundant wildlife, Trail Ridge Road (the highest paved road in the United States) and over 350 miles of trails; Rocky Mountain National Park is spectacular! From easy and simple hikes around a mountain lake to hiking and backpacking, Rocky Mountain National Park offers trails for hikers of all levels.
Day 14: Depart to Denver early in the morning. Arrival mid-day. Beginning of the discovery of the city. Night.
Day 15: Free time. return the car to the airport and boarding
